Aptly is a Singapore tuition marketplace that matches parents and students with private tutors. Unlike a directory, Aptly verifies tutors, ties every review to a real tutoring relationship, and matches on teaching fit — not just price.

Aptly is free for parents and students. You can search, compare verified tutors, read honest reviews, and message tutors at no cost. Tutors pay you nothing — Aptly is funded by an optional tutor subscription (Aptly Pro).

Every tutor verifies their email and mobile number before appearing in search. Tutors can also upload certificates, which our team reviews to award a “Verified by Aptly” badge. Reviews can only be left by parents or tutors in a genuine tutoring relationship.

The Aptly Score™ is a 0–10 reputation score calculated from verified reviews across six dimensions, how long engagements last, and re-hire rates. It only appears once a tutor has at least five published reviews, so it reflects a real track record.

To protect both parents and tutors from spam and off-platform pressure, contact details are blocked in messages until a booking is confirmed. This keeps reviews honest and keeps everyone safe. Repeatedly attempting to bypass this triggers a three-strike system.

Aptly weighs subject and level fit, your child's learning style against the tutor's teaching approach, budget, format, and the tutor's verified track record to rank the best matches — with a plain-English reason for each.

Aptly Pro is an optional subscription for tutors. It unlocks analytics — who viewed and saved their profile, search impressions, and engagement trends — plus a Pro badge. It never changes a tutor's reviews or Aptly Score.
